Graphic design is a fresh industry looking for unique and artistic perspectives and creative minds. In 2007, Kristi Ikemire launched her own business, KMI Design in Chicago, specializing in the video internet industry. KMI Design is a first-class company that works closely with their clients to create truly unique slideshows for any event they wish. Kristi’s service allows her to customize the perfect look that the customer is trying to achieve, with a more modern and stylish take on the traditional slideshow. Ikemire’s graphics are always created from scratch to ensure that the finished product will be unique and special every time. Kristi’s concept is fairly new, and a perfect way for her to utilize her talents and devotion to design in creating her product.

Before starting her own business, Kristi Ikemire had the chance to expand on her talent and skill with many reputable companies. Ikemire has been employed by The Bond Group, WGN 9 CW, CBS2 Chicago, as well as Harpo Productions. With CBS, Ikemire was in charge of creating graphics for the news room, where the environment was extremely fast-paced. Ikemire was responsible for designing opens, lower thirds, and creating many other animating elements for programming. Some prominent design work of hers has been featured in specials such as “Garden in a City” and “The Extra Mile”. Kristi has also created promotional spots for upcoming news specials while working with the Creative Services Department.

Kristi Ikemire attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Kristi’s personal website can be found at www.KristiIkemire.com and features samples of her print and motion graphics design work.
